Cuisine Artisan Awards
DESCRIPTION: Searching for the best of New Zealand artisan food and beverage products. Please give details and evidence
of traditional skills, innovative production and an emphasis on true quality. What is it
that makes your product stand out from the rest and demonstrates your passion
as an artisan food or beverage producer? In order to participate in the awards, your
business must fulfil the following criteria:
• You must employ fewer than 19 permanent
members of staff (full or part-time).
• Your business must be fully independent,
ie not a subsidiary of another company,
organisation or trader; not a franchise; and
not supported by any other organisation.
• Your annual turnover must not exceed
$5 million. Winners will be decided by a judging
panel appointed by Cuisine. 10 finalists including one supreme winner
will be selected from these finalists.

Cuisine NZ Champions of Cheese Awards
DESCRIPTION: The Cuisine Champions of Cheese Awards are run by the NZ cheese industry for the NZ cheese industry. The entire event is managed and promoted by an independent company and assisted administratively by the secretary of the NZSCA Inc. The Awards are judged independently by an expert team of NZ judges and an international Master of Cheese to ensure professionalism, expert knowledge and credibility.
The Cuisine NZ Champions of Cheese brand has been successfully established, through a series of official Awards events and promotional activity. The purpose of these Awards is to honour technical excellence in the manufacture of NZ Cheese. Ultimately, there is a broader objective to drive consumption of NZ specialist cheeses by raising awareness, encouraging trial and promoting usage of NZ cheeses.

Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year Awards
DESCRIPTION: The Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year Awards, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, is New Zealand’s only national restaurant competition, regarded as the ultimate award within the hospitality industry. Cuisine has been the country's top-selling food magazine for 25 years and its prestigious NZ Restaurant of the Year Awards has long been the benchmark for the country's best eateries.

Air New Zealand Wine Awards
DESCRIPTION: The Air New Zealand Wine Awards is the premier wine competition in New Zealand recognising excellence in winemaking. The competition is owned and organised by New Zealand Winegrowers, the national organisation for the country's 1,300 grape growers and winemakers. In 2009 1,655 wines were judged by a team of local and international judges to identify medal and trophy winners for each of the varietal categories. The competition has been running for close to 30 years and Air New Zealand have been the naming rights sponsor for the majority of that time. In conjunction with the Awards, a gala dinner is held to announce and celebrate the Elite Gold, Pure Elite Gold medal winning wines and the Trophy winning wines, and to acknowledge the talents of our winemakers.

Bragato Wine Awards
DESCRIPTION: To give recognition to viticultural excellence and to
recognise the influence of grape growers and their
vineyards in creating the unique qualities of New Zealand
wines, by judging the wines made from grapes grown on
such specified vineyards. Pioneering viticulturist Romeo Bragato was a perfectionist who fully recognised
that “good wines are grown in the vineyard”. The Bragato
Wine Awards salute that vision.
The Awards, organised and held by New Zealand Winegrowers each year as part of the Romeo Bragato conference, are New Zealand’s only grapegrower awards.

BrewNZ Beer Awards
DESCRIPTION: The Brewers Guild of New Zealand invites breweries from all over the world to enter their beers for New Zealand's premier beer competition: the BrewNZ Beer Awards. BrewNZ is the official New Zealand beer event, a week long celebration of beer and brewing held in Wellington in late August, endorsed by the Brewers Guild of New Zealand, and incorporating the BrewNZ Beer Awards and Beervana. BrewNZ Beer Awards is an international beer competition featuring entries from over 60 breweries. Local and international beers will be judged over three days by a panel of experts. The competition culminates in an awards evening.

Great New Zealand Sausage Competition
DESCRIPTION: The Great New Zealand Sausage Competition is organised by Retail Meat New Zealand and is New Zealand’s premier sausage judging event. The competition is an annual highlight for butchers and small-goods manufacturers as they vie for their sausages to be named the Supreme Award Winner. Makers can also be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.
