Genevieve's Cuisine

DESCRIPTION: Genevieve Knights (nee McGough) has over 18 years experience in the food industry as a chef, food writer, food stylist, recipe developer, television presenter and food photographer. 2005 saw the release of her first cookbook Basic But Brilliant published by Penguin, and she has contributed to Cuisine and Foodtown Magazine. The first of a series of baking cookbooks is now available. Titled scones, it includes 50 original recipes on the traditional favourite, along with tips and tricks, a history section and conversion chart. The second book, pavlova will be available from November 2010. With her husband, Genevieve also provides high quality gourmet hampers called Champers Hampers.

Global Baker - Dean Brettschneider

DESCRIPTION: Dean Brettschneider is a professional baker and patissier. After completing his apprenticeship in New Zealand he worked in the US, Britain, Europe and the Middle East, gaining experience in all areas of the baking and patisserie world. Today, Dean is regarded as one of the best bakers on the planet. Following some years based in Shanghai, Dean is now working from Denmark and Britain, but still visits New Zealand regularly throughout each year and has bakery and foodstore interests in Auckland, Singapore and Shanghai. Dean's previous baking books have won World Food Media Awards and Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Dean also appears as judge of the successful television series Nestlé New Zealand's Hottest Home Baker and has appeared in The Cook and The Baker, on New Zealand's Food TV, and in The American Motorhome Cookery Roadshow on UK Sky digital 166 & freesat 402 (Information TV).
