Loveblock Pinot Noir ranked 42 in Wine Spectator Top 100

New Zealand winery Loveblock has earned a 42nd ranking in the prestigious Wine Spectator Top 100 for 2018, a roundup of the year’s most exciting wines from across the globe.

The Wine Spectator Top 100 roundup is the ultimate hub for wine connoisseurs. With Loveblock’s Pinot Noir Central Otago 2015 ranking 42nd, the winery is front and centre on the world stage. The publication carries a strong influence in key markets such as the United States, Canada and Asia.

To determine the final list, more than 15,000 wines were tasted and rated on quality, value and the ‘X factor’. While Loveblock impressed on all fronts, the winery’s ethical farming and dedication to creating sustainable wines was a key drawcard for the ‘X factor’ category.

Loveblock was founded by Erica and Kim Crawford in 2013, based on their deeply held philosophy of earth care and organic farming.

Founder, Erica Crawford, is thrilled with this prestigious acknowledgement. “We’re really pleased to see our Central Otago Pinot Noir continuing to make waves overseas, especially as demand for New Zealand Pinot Noir is growing rapidly.”

“Sustainability and ethicality are at the heart of our practice, so for The Wine Spectator to recognise this is so gratifying for us.”

In total there are four New Zealand wines on the Top 100 list, of which three are Pinot Noirs from Central Otago.

Loveblock wines are available at all Glengarry stores, Glengarry online or at selected Auckland New World and fine wine shops nationwide.
